Southampton -The 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day - a day to celebrate the amazing women who have shaped us, our world, and our future, was celebrated on March 8.

The past century has seen the growth of a worldwide movement that recognizes the essential importance of empowering women, locally and globally. More women are taking on leadership roles and making their voices heard than ever before.

It has been a century of women making change, and the next 100 years is sure to bring even more progress. The International Museum of Women is proud to be part of a vibrant worldwide movement for women's human rights.

Take a moment today to celebrate a woman who has made a difference in your life - whether it is your mother, your sister, your colleague, or your friend. With 100 years of progress behind us, we have much to look forward to and much to achieve.

Happy International Women's Day!
