Southampton - A narcotics investigation that started in January 2009 in which Southampton Town Police Narcotics Investigators teamed up with Federal DEA Agents culminated with the arrest of the following five individuals that have been selling Crack Cocaine on the East End.

 • Charles Maurice Manning, a/k/a "Mo", age 29, of Huntington Crossway, Bridgehampton, and of Lincoln Avenue, Riverhead, is being charged in Federal Court with Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Distribution of Cocaine Base.

 • Kareem S. Coffey, age 29 of Noyack Road, Noyack, is being charged in Federal Court with Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Distribution of Cocaine Base.

 • Terrence K. Johnson, a/k/a "Treva Pettaway", age 34, of Hill Street, Southampton, and of Riverside Avenue, Flanders, is being charged in Federal Court with Distribution of Cocaine Base.

 • Allen T. Hopson, a/k/a "Relly", age 32, of Pioneer Road, Southampton, is being charged in Federal Court with Distribution of Cocaine Base.

 • Raymond E. Gilliam, a/k/a "Ray," age 27, of Huntington Crossway, Bridgehampton, Riverhead, is being charged in Federal Court with Distribution of Cocaine Base.

Approximately four ounces of Crack Cocaine, packaging material, and scales, were recovered during the investigation.

The Southampton Town Police Department's Street Crime Unit began the investigation and requested the assistance of the DEA in early 2009. The DEA responded with manpower, and funding for the operation. The two agencies worked together for over an entire year until they gathered sufficient evidence to indict the subjects involved in the East End drug enterprise.

The United States Attorney's Office came on board with the investigation in November 2009 when they were presented with the facts of the case.

The three agencies have teamed up together in the past on similar investigations making a huge impact on slowing the drug trafficking in Riverside in 2001, in Bridgehampton in 2003, and again in Southampton in 2007.

In total over 25 drug dealers have been charged on State or Federal charges as a result of the collaborated efforts between Town and Federal Narcotics investigators in recent years.

This is a continuing investigation and more arrests are expected.
