Suffolk County Treasurer Reminds Taxpayers Of Upcoming Deadline

Riverhead - Angie Carpenter, Suffolk County Treasurer, advises residents that all property tax exemptions applications are due to your local tax assessor by March 1 each year. This deadline is for all exemptions, Senior Citizen, Veterans, Disability and Limited Income and the STAR exemption.

Contact your local tax assessor's office for the proper applications and requirements, and call Treasurer Carpenter's office for brochures on Property Tax Exemptions and Star Property Tax Exemption, at 631-852-1500.
