The Bridgehampton Child Care and Rec Center To Host Dr. Ancy Verdier

- The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center launched Straight Talk: Real People this past August - a series of community conversations that will take place once a month at the Center. The opening talk was with local African-American artist, illustrator, painter Reynold Ruffins.

The series will continue on Thursday, January 28 at 7 p.m. Invited to speak is Dr. Ancy Verdier who has his practice in Wainscott and New York City. As Executive Director Bonnie Cannon states, "We are a community rich with fascinating, innovative, inspiring people. Let's sit down, talk, and learn from each other! "

Dr. Verdier is a board certified periodontist who strives to improve his clients overall health and wellness by preventing and treating gum disease which has been directly linked to systemic illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

Dr. Verdier earned his B.A. at Tufts University; attended a Post Baccalaureate Program at Harvard University; received his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he was honored for his outstanding clinical performance; and he obtained a specialty certificate in Period ontology from Tufts University.

Dr. Verdier, who currently holds dental licenses in Massachusetts and New York, has participated in clinical research and lectured at Yankee Dental Congress, Forsyth Institute, International Association of Dental Research, and Cross County Dental Forum. He is a clinical assistant professor at NYU Dental School, attending periodontist at Lincoln Hospital as well as a member of the American Academy of Period ontology, American Dental Association, Northeast Periodontal Society, New York State Dental Association. He continues to support community based projects of the American Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association and The United Way.

The evening will be filled with lively exchange, dessert and coffee, situated in a comfortable, living room setting.
