Blackman Plumbing Expands Headquarters In Riverhead

Riverhead - Town Supervisor Sean M. Walter announced that Blackman Plumbing, a longtime staple of the West Main Street corridor, would be expanding their headquarters in Riverhead.

Supervisor Walter said "one of the goals of this administration is to revitalize Main Street and to bring good jobs and tax base to Riverhead and the Blackman Plumbing expansion is a welcome sight for the sore eyes of Riverhead taxpayers." Supervisor Walter said "almost immediately after we were able to change the New York Wild Scenic Rivers Act, Blackman Plumbing announced that they would build a new 40,000 square foot headquarters - this is a clear
example that when government gets out of the way of the private sector we can create jobs and revenue."

Supervisor Walter went further to say "five blighted homes are being razed to build a new state-of-art facility and that's a good thing for Riverhead." Blackman Plumbing is based at 940 West Main Street. The expansion of their headquarters is to build a new showroom and warehouse. Blackman was established in 1921 and sells kitchen and bathroom products on both a retail and wholesale basis, and is located at 940 W. Main Street, Riverhead.
