Southampton - Melvin Campbell, a Lead Housekeeper in the Environmental Services Department at Southampton Hospital, has been chosen as the Hospital's Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2008. Melvin's selection was celebrated at a luncheon in his honor last week, where Hospital President and CEO, Robert S. Chaloner presented him with a trophy and various gifts recognizing his achievement.

A resident of Westhampton, Melvin has been an employee of the Hospital for nearly 12 years. Melvin's supervisors and co-workers shared some reasons why he deserved to be nominated which prove that he is an exceptional person. "Melvin is always ready, able and willing to help out whenever and wherever you need him - with a smile. He is dependable and always helpful. Melvin is friendly, respectful, conscientious and caring, I can't say enough about him - quite simply, he always leaves a place better than when he arrived!"
