The 63rd Annual Shinnecock Powwow Celebrated This Weekend

Southampton - The 63rd Annual Shinnecock Powwow Gathering of Native Americans Contest Powwow and Celebration will be held on Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 4 through Sept. 7 at the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton. The grounds open on Friday at 3 p.m., and the event will run on Saturday through Monday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $12 Adults, $10 Kids, Seniors and Handicapped.

There will be music and dance performances; sunset fire lighting; dance specials, including fancy and traditional smoke dances; arts and crafts; food and over 100 vendors. This year's Pow Wow is a benefit for the Shinnecock Tribe and the Shinnecock Presbyterian Church.

Advance tickets are available, and credit cards are accepted. No pets are allowed.
