Westhampton Beach - The Hampton Synagogue was host for New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D) as guest speaker at morning Shabbat services this past Saturday, July 11.

Since Senator Gillibrand assumed office in January, this is the first official visit and talk she has given at a synagogue. Shabbat morning services began at 8:45 a.m.

After services, Sen. Gillibrand met with local officials and leaders including incumbent Southampton Town Board members Anna Throne-Holst and Sally Pope, who where invited to attend by Hampton Synagogue Rabbi Marc Schneier.
