Ackerman Named Senior Director Of Brown Harris Stevens Office In Bridgehampton

Bridgehampton - Brown Harris Stevens of the Hamptons is pleased to announce that top broker Andrea Ackerman has joined the firm's newly expanded and renovated Bridgehampton office as senior director. A top broker for over 26 years, Ackerman "is committed to providing the best and most comprehensive service to customers and clients," according to BHS management.

"As one of the industry's most consistent top producers, Andrea brings a breadth of knowledge and considerable experience to Brown Harris Stevens," Peter Turino, president of Brown Harris Stevens, commented.

Well known for her involvement in a variety of local fund raising, cultural and community organizations, Ackerman has also been honored for outstanding leadership in her industry by the "Metropolitan Registries." As a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons, she served as the chairperson of the Social Action Committee and chaired the nominating committee which established a new slate of officers and trustees. Among her proudest endeavors is the founding of "Yard Sale Extraordinaire," which raises money for a variety of local charities and contributes toward feeding the hungry form Montauk to Riverhead.

In July 2007, Andrea received a proclamation from County Executive Steve Levy recognizing her as an outstanding individual for her dedication and philanthropic contributions to the Jewish Center of the Hamptons and the community on behalf of 1.4 million residents of Suffolk County. "Andrea is recognized for her professionalism, trusted counsel and dedication to her clients and the community. We are delighted to welcome her," Vice-President Charles Manger said.

A full-time resident of the Hamptons, Andrea resides with her daughter, Alexandra, a Skidmore College senior, champion equestrian, polo player and former member of the Southampton Polo Club.

Brown Harris Stevens of the Hamptons and North Fork comprises nine offices and 160 agents, serving Westhampton to Montauk on the South Fork and Aquebogue to Orient Point on the North Fork. The company has been in continuous operation since 1873 and is a leading residential real estate company in Manhattan and the Hamptons.
