If you happen to be visiting the Hamptons, you’re in luck as Ina Garten, the entertaining queen of the East End, just spilled her favorite places to frequent.
The Barefoot Contessa notes on her website that “‘The Hamptons’ is actually a string of historic villages including East Hampton, Bridgehampton, and Southampton on the south coast of Long Island, and each town has its own special character” – just in case you didn’t already know. And, as those of us who are lucky enough to live here know, there are just too many amazing places to name, but Garten did list a few of her favorite spots.
As for farm stands, don’t be surprised to find Ina at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett, Pike Farms in Sagaponack, The Green Thumb in Water Mill, and Iacono Farm in East Hampton – which is where she sources chicken and eggs.
When it comes to specialty food stores, Cavaniola’s Gourmet in Sag Harbor, Seafood Shop in Wainscott, Loaves and Fishes in Bridgehampton, Milk Pail in Water Mill, Round Swamp Farm in Bridgehampton and East Hampton, Mary’s Marvelous in East Hampton, and Tate’s Bake Shop in Southampton made the cut.
When the East Hampton resident is in the mood for a night out, she stops by The 1770 House in East Hampton, The Palm in East Hampton, East Hampton Grill in East Hampton, Vine Street Cafe on Shelter Island, Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton, Candy Kitchen in Bridgehampton, Duryea’s in Montauk, and Canal Cafe in Hampton Bays.
When she’s in need of some beautiful blooms, she visits the Bridgehampton Florist in Bridgehampton and Sag Harbor Florist in Sag Harbor.
Finally, Ina’s top home stores, including Monc XIII, Bloom, In Home, and Sylvester & Co, are all located in Sag Harbor.
