This Valentine’s Day, skip the boring bouquet of red roses and give your Valentine something that they can keep forever, a one-of-a-kind present that was crafted by a local vendor. For gift inspiration, stop by Ashawagh Hall on Saturday, February 6th for a Pre-Valentine’s Day Craftmarket, where you will find a plethora of purchasable goods that will cover both his and her wish lists.
“Jamie Lerner’s February Craftmarket is just what’s needed to get people out of the house and into the warm communal space of Ashawagh Hall,” said Loring Bolger of the Springs Improvement Society. “New vendors will join familiar faces in bringing high quality crafts and delicious edibles to people living in, or visiting the area.”
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., shoppers can peruse through art and fine crafts, including prints, paintings, jewelry, leather and wool bags, fiber, felted knits, accessories, skin products, and home décor. Need to pick up something to satisfy your loved one’s sweet tooth? A selection of small-batch fine handmade food offerings will be available, like chocolates, baked goods, sauces, spices, preserves and more.
The event will also showcase art posters from Ashawagh Hall spanning the past 50 years, both framed and unframed, many of which are signed by the artist. Proceeds from the posters will benefit the Springs Improvement Society, which supports Ashawagh Hall. Mugs, hats and other items will also be on sale. “In addition, there will be a first time opportunity to buy over 40 years of Springs Improvement Society posters at 40 percent off,” added Bolger. “Don’t miss it!”
Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Road in Amagansett. For more information, contact Jamie Lerner at [email protected].
