New York City
- Nationally known eco-friendly home design expert Robin Wilson
has collaborated with Robert Kennedy, Jr.
on a Westchester County home that has become the subject of a book by Wilson, "Kennedy Green House," being published in Spring 2010 by Greenleaf Book Group.
With stunning four-color photography, "Kennedy Green House" documents the transformation of the home from the architectural plans to the selection of a builder to the specification of eco-friendly building materials, and finally to the installation of eco-innovations, energy-efficient appliances and custom cabinetry. Throughout, Robin Wilson educates readers with tips for building their home "from the foundation to the furniture," whether a simple renovation or a rebuilding project.
"Kennedy Green House" aims to ensure the proper information is available to improve the quality of a reader's eco-system - their health, home, furnishings, and lifestyle choices. The book will serve as a design and educational tool for homeowners, builders, and interior designers.

Says Wilson, "Working with the Kennedy family on this amazing project and then to see it turned into a book that shows readers how eco-friendly design can be both beautiful and responsible has been a dream opportunity. It is my hope that it furthers the cause of eco-healthy building and living."
Industry insiders describe Wilson's style as "classic with a modern touch" with a focus on sustainable, reusable, recyclable and non-toxic options. She founded her firm in 2000, and rebranded it to the eponymous Robin Wilson Home in 2006.
Robin Wilson Home is based in New York City and focuses on residential and commercial interior design, consulting, licensing and an online retailer called The Nest Store. Her work has been featured in notable projects including the Good Housekeeping
LEED-certified brownstone (2008), the Esquire
Bachelor Apartment" terrace (2007), the Peninsula Hotel Spa salon (2007), and renovation and furniture acquisition in former President Bill Clinton's
Harlem office (since 2004).
Wilson has been influenced by the architectural work of Paul R. Williams
and Frank Lloyd Wright
, among others. She has an understanding of LEED requirements due to her work on a range of projects.
Among them is a line of eco-friendly kitchen cabinetry manufactured by Holiday Kitchens and available throughout the U.S.
Born and raised in Austin, TX, Wilson is a fourth-generation member of a Texas family involved in real estate. She has served on the boards of the Boson Symphony Orchestra and YWCA. She holds an M.S. from New York University and a B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin. Her firm is a member of the USG Green Building Council.
