Southampton - Southampton Hospital has recently implemented the 'Important Medical Information' program. It is a free program designed for seniors and individuals with serious medical conditions to provide pertinent medical information to emergency personnel who respond to home emergencies.

It contains the medical history needed by the responding emergency personnel, such as existing medical conditions, allergies and medications currently being taken.

Participants complete a Medical Information Form that is then placed in the refrigerator. A magnet is placed on the refrigerator and a decal is placed on the front door in plain view for emergency personnel to alert them that medical information is located inside the home.
