About the East Hampton Healthcare Foundation and East Hampton Walk-In Medical Care
The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 1998 to address the critical need for comprehensive quality healt hcare services on the East End. Through fund raising efforts, the non-profit foundation built the state-of-the-art East Hampton Healthcare Center, which opened its doors to the public in 2002. The Center was designed to serve as a model community healthcare facility for all residents, including the under-insured and uninsured. In 2008, the Foundation established the East Hampton Urgent Care facility, now known as East Hampton Walk-In Medical Care. With the mission of a single standard of care for all, the Foundation facilitates the coordination of health services from existing community resources.

Guest (David Paton MD) from East Hampton says::
I am a proud member of the board of East Hampton Healthcare Foundation As a retired clinical physician, I know how hard our EH doctors work every day of their lives under increasingly complicated conditions of limited financial reimbursements and extensive paper work. That said, I hope our community realizes how fortunate we are to have these now numerous medical doctors to care for us year round. They are of the best quality, both from professional ability and their level of caring. And Southampton Hospital has undergone an extraordinary uplift under its present remarkably effective management. Please know that the days of valid overall criticism are over. There will always be disappointments in medical care due to individual variants in illnesses. However, East Hampton is truly blessed with the medical teams available to us, and I for one feel obliged to express that conviction with considerable pride in what this community has created.
