Nearly everyone knows someone who has served in the military, or someone who may be stationed overseas. Please donate blood, in honor of those who respond to the call of duty and give of themselves to help others. Keep in mind the sacrifices that our active service men and women engage in on a daily basis, and the burden that their families bear. Many veterans are in need of ongoing medical care.

This Veteran's Day, November 11, please consider donating at Eastern Long Island Hospital, 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at 201 Manor Place, Greenport

A single blood donation can help save the lives of three people, and will help maintain your community blood supply this holiday season. If you cannot donate but still wish to participate in bringing crucial blood products to patients in need, please consider volunteering at a local blood drive.
