- Southampton Hospital
will present a lecture on sleep disorders titled "Grumpy, Groggy, Sleepy and Foggy" with John Tusa, LCSW, on Monday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m., at Parrish Memorial Hall, located on the corner of Herrick Road and Lewis Street.
One in five Americans suffers from a sleep disorder and long-term effects can include physical and mental health problems, functioning, safety and even death.
Tusa will discuss the many types of sleep disorders, why it is a growing problem, what beliefs and behaviors increase risks, and tips and techniques to improve sleep.
Tusa was the former executive director of Alternatives Counseling Center in Southampton. He is now in private practice in Southampton treating individuals, couples and teens with depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse, addictions and anger and sleep problems.
