Southampton - It is a rare occurrence when both beauty and practicality come together as they have in
Lechuza's Premium Collection of self-watering planters. Hidden behind each of these planter's elegant exteriors is a hi-tech, German-engineered sub-irrigation system that is so effective that plants seem to take care of themselves for up to 12 weeks.
"You don't need to have a green thumb to grow beautiful plants, you just need a Lechuza planter," says
Anton Zevenbergen, National Sales Manager for Lechuza. "Its self-watering system does all the work. All you have to do is fill it and forget it."
Within every Premium Collection planter is a German-engineered self-watering system that makes growing and maintaining beautiful plants easier than ever before. Inside the planter is a separate liner that holds the plant, a layer of soil and a layer of Lechuza-Pon, a special mineral-based granular substance that aids in the plant's growth. Beneath this liner is a water reservoir that gardening enthusiasts fill from a shaft at the top of the planter. This reservoir works in concert with the Lechuza-Pon to perfectly control the supply of water to the plant, providing weeks of carefree maintenance. A water level indicator makes it easy for users to see when more water is needed.

• The Cubico's design features an elegantly simple, rectangular shape matched with a rising line to create a loft that sets off the plants, as well as the architecture that surrounds it.
• The Cararo features an elongated rectangular design that makes it perfect for dividing even large spaces into a green oasis. Its invisible rollers also make it easy to move around, allowing owners to continually switch up the décor of any space.
• The Classico uses simple, elegant lines to create a classic design that is perfect for almost any setting. Available in a wide range of sizes, the Classico planters can handle everything from small shrubs to decorative trees.
• The Quadro creates a stylish showcase for any plant large or small. Its generous square design and lower profile provides taller and larger plants with an attractive stage while providing plenty of room for growth.
