Enter designer Berry Brown, who in just a few short years has captured the fancy of such A-Listers as Brooke Shields who has on more than one occasion sported one of Brown's unique necklaces inspired by vintage elements but with a contemporary twist. Fascinated by antique findings and vintage lockets since a child, she has carved a niche for herself with her collections of necklaces, bracelets and rings each based upon a vintage element. For the last few years, her BB Jewels of Gramercy Park has been the go-to source for trend setters like red carpet regular and fashion blogger Tia Walker who likes the demure look with a modern, hip sensibility.

Now Brown has entered the world of home furnishings with a very special collection of handmade in America pillows (can you hear her Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos) that are just the shot in the old couch stuffing you need. Brown has sourced gorgeous vintage fabrics - many no longer available by the original manufacturers - as well as antique trimmings and buttons to create a line of truly one-of-a-kind pillows that will add some major pizzazz to your surroundings. The fabrics include elegant jacquards, sumptuous silks, upholstery fabrics, carpeting and needlepoint.

The designer's love of old world accessories began as a child. Her paternal grandparents collected an eclectic range of jewelry. Her mother and grandmother both have a knack for crafts and she grew up surrounded by homemade baskets, textiles, clothes, pillows and more. Her personal passion for jewelry led her to create BB Jewels Gramercy Park. Her jeweled creations have seen in O Magazine and More and actress Shields wore one of Brown's necklaces in an appearance on "The View."

Extending beyond jewelry to home furnishings, she recently launched a collection of pillows made with vintage fabrics embellished with antique buttons and trims.

"This new line pairs my love of tradition with my desire for style, quality and innovation. There is so much joy in finding beauty in unexpected places. Pillows seem like an unexpected place to find such an immense amount of beauty, that's why I love this home element to debut our signature fabric" says Brown.

Brown utilizes antique buttons as a personal statement to denote the attention to detail and her love of good craftsmanship. Her other new pillow lines in the holiday collection include a limited edition Black Label Collection which utilizes colorful silks and gold brocades as well as her signature fabric in a champagne color tone.

The collection is inspired by her appreciation of European decadence, design and décor, hues in this high line include, dark purple, orange , fuchsia and mocha. Additionally her one-of-a-kind statement pillows are featured in the upcoming collection. The pieces include among others "Exotic Luxe" a new pillow where she pair an Armenian Antique Textile with a Green Silk Taffeta. The antique button on this one-of-a-kind pillow is a refashioned vintage pin with a green glass center-stone.

Following a career in journalism, Berry decided to pursue her passion for design full time. She now spends much of her time scouring flea markets and antique stores from Paris' Aux Puces to Manhattan's DUMBO always on the lookout for unusual vintage textiles which become the elements for new designs.
