Southampton - While one might say that there are many talented contractors, very few can tout working with the likes of
Beyonce,
Lindsay Lohan,
Tyra Banks,
Michael J. Fox,
Nate Berkus and
Tony Bennett and many others.
Stephen Fanuka, "Contractor to the Stars," can.
Fanuka, who started his own company, Fanuka Inc., 17 years ago (Queens, NY), has built an unsurpassed reputation among leading decorators and elite clientele in Manhattan and the Hamptons. Now, for the first-time ever, Fanuka, and his well-to-do clients, are opening their doors and revealing the truth behind the fancy renovations on a new DIY Network series, "Million Dollar Contractor," premiering October 16, 2011 at 10 p.m.
The half-hour series is dedicated to giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most amazing spaces and construction of Manhattan's high-end luxury homes, Million Dollar Contractor focuses on the details, the materials and the insane amount of money clients spend to allow Fanuka, the "Contractor to the Stars," to create million dollar projects. Fanuka wants viewers to know, "These are my jobs in my real life. This is the only show on television that is 100 percent natural with no additives or artificial reality." When watching Million Dollar Contractor on DIY Network, he hopes give viewers the "wow" factor with a side order of the "how" factor.
Fanuka's mantra is "Big Jobs, Big Money, Big Expectations." For his clients, Stephen Fanuka is the perfect general contractor. But getting the job done right, on-time and on-budget (even when it's large), isn't always as pretty as the $200-a-square-foot marble he installs. This fantasy world of unbelievable materials, opulent spaces and incredible dollar signs can be a nightmare to deal with, but it's his job.
