Dede Gotthelf will be opening the doors to her Victorian Townhouse home designed by world-renowned architect
Francis Hatch Kimball, in association with the prestigious Brearley Alumnae Arts Committee as part of the 22nd Annual House Tour held in the historic Mount Morris Park neighborhood of Harlem.
Guests can visit Gotthelf's and the 11 other architecturally outstanding homes, church, community garden and museums on a self-guided tour between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011.
Since 1998, under the direction of real estate mogul Gotthelf,
the Southampton Inn has transformed into the premiere hospitality and event venue on the East End, earning numerous awards such as Best Inn, Best Hotel, Best Breakfast, Best Public Space and Best New Restaurant for OSO. Beyond her role in the hospitality industry, since 1987, she has closed more than $1.1 billion in consulting, construction, and brokerage deals as President and Owner of Catcove Corp. Her career highlights began at Chase Manhattan as a banker; followed by VP at the NY State Urban Development Corp., receiving a special achievement certificate from the governor; then Director of Investment Sales at Studley. She was honored as one of the Top 10 Real Estate Women of the 21st Century by the Association of Real Estate Women "Who's Who in the Hospitality Industry" by L.I. Business News, along with being named one of New York State's "Women of Distinction." Gotthelf is also a member of the Southampton Chamber of Commerce, Southampton Business Alliance, East End Women's Network,
Parrish Art Museum Business Counsel and
Group for the East End, among others. She is an honors graduate of Williams College and was an adjunct professor at NYU Real Estate Institute. She lives in Manhattan and East Quogue with her husband, two children and three cats.
