East Hampton - Join LongHouse Reserve for the much anticipated 'Planters: On and Off the Ground' IV exhibition that will kick-off on June 25.

Containers will be judged this year by acclaimed author of "Paths to Desire: The Passion of the Suburban Gardener," Dominique Browning. Past judges include John Danzer, P. Allen Smith, and Martha Stewart.

Top landscape designer, artists, and garden professionals will participate in the exhibition by creating a unique garden container to be judged and then displayed at LongHouse for the rest of the season. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with the opening of the garden and exhibition preview. At 6 p.m. the Blue Ribbon Program with Juror Browning starts. Guests will see professionals displaying their creations at LHR's "Planters On & Off the Ground" IV invitational. Using hand-picked vessels to inspire container garden design, experts choose plants with care and position them lovingly-ever conscious of the Gestalt-the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. There is a fee of $20 and $10 for members.
