East Hampton - The House and Garden Tour through East Hampton Village has been announced and will take place on May 6 and May 7. The houses participating are as follows:

Bee Cottage: The warm and charming small cottage is located on Fithian Lane. This 1920s stucco with blue trim was recently photographed for two issues of House Beautiful magazine.

Alexandra Munroe And Robert Rosenkrantz's Manor House: On West End Road, a classic 1928 manor house sits on an ocean dune with multiple gardens and grasses. A woodland walk is full of surprises including hidden Jack-in-the-pulpits and ferns under a canopy of cryptomeria, cypress and rhododendron. Snacks and fresh drinks will be served.

Dianne Benson's Garden: A stylish garden on David's Lane is noted for its ingenuity of layering and mixing colors and textures, interesting pruning and exotic plants that return year after year. The largest magnolia on the East End and a rare, impossibly tall and skinny Temple's Upright sugar maple resides here. Inside the house is a collection of contemporary art just as beautiful as the garden.

Peter Wilson's Garden: Behind a berm on the corner of Further Lane and Cross Highway, a garden designed by Craig Socia includes distinct Japanese overtones, rock-hewn stairs and a 60-foot twig bridge as well as a floating stone walk. On three acres, specimen Japanese maples are nestled with mounds of Barberry and a weeping beech.

Calista Washburn's Garden: On Windmill Lane, a real gardener's garden exists with spring bulbs, unusual trees such as Crape Myrtle and old espaliered pear, slatted folly for dining, stone walls and a little red barn with the roar of the ocean behind.

Ken Lipper's Home: The former Helen and Claus Hoie house on Hook Pond Lane has been renovated with the addition of a master bedroom and chic small pool, where the garage used to be. Swans swim in perfect cadence in the pond. Modern lines, dark colors and an architectural eye make this an exciting place to visit.
