Sag Harbor - State Assemblyman
Fred W. Thiele, Jr., (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) encouraged East End residents to consider doing their part to help reduce fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by improving the energy performance of their homes.
The Long Island Green Homes program can help reduce energy costs for homeowners by helping them get comprehensive home energy audits and making cost effective energy upgrades to their home. Programs are available to all Long Island homeowners, no matter what town, city or village they reside in.
"Even the most minor improvements can save you money, improve the value of your home, help reduce air pollution, and protect the environment," stated Assemblyman Thiele. "When homeowners invest in making their homes more energy efficient, it can help create jobs on Long Island and keep money in the local economy. I encourage everyone to do their part to help make the East End a more sustainable place."
