Southampton – Brooks Brothers, the renowned American brand, will launch a collegiate collection for the fall season. Inspired by the company's long-standing tradition of dressing college students and alums, "The Collegiate Collection" celebrates those with a passion for their alma mater and who want to proudly display their school spirit.
Brooks Brothers has long been the label of choice for college students and became synonymous with the "Ivy League Look" in the 1960s. Due to this unique heritage, it was only natural for the brand to partner with Vesi, a leader in official college licensed sportswear, to create a collegiate collection to allow students to sport their university logo on their favorite Brooks Brothers items.
The collection features an authentic assortment of essential pieces including V-neck merino and lambswool crew neck sweaters ($109.50), broadcloth and oxford non-iron dress shirts ($99.50), Golden Fleece Performance Polos ($69.50) and fine woven ties featuring school logos and insignias ($79.50), which are produced at the Brooks Brothers Long Island City, NY tie factory. The first schools included in this collection are:
• Alabama
• Auburn
• Boston College
• Cornell
• Columbia
• Georgetown
• Naval Academy
• Notre Dame
• New York University
• Ohio State University
• Princeton
• Stanford
• Vanderbilt
• University of Virginia
• Yale
"The Collegiate Collection" is available at select Brooks Brothers retail stores based on proximity to local campuses, including Brooks Brothers flagship store at 346 Madison Avenue in New York City, as well as online at brooksbrothers.com and brooksbrothers.com/collegiate. Starting August 20, the collection will also be available at select affiliated campus bookstores.
As America's oldest retailer, Brooks Brothers has long been a fashion innovator. Established in 1818, Brooks Brothers was the first to offer ready-to-wear clothing and has continued throughout history with iconic product introductions including seersucker, madras, the non-iron shirt and the original button-down collar. Nearly two centuries later, Brooks Brothers is proud to uphold the same traditions and values and to be the destination for ladies and gentlemen from every generation. Since its founding 193 years ago in New York, Brooks Brothers has become a legendary international retailer while maintaining a steadfast commitment to exceptional service, quality, style and value.
