Southampton - Jewelry designer Tamara Comolli was born in Munich and spent her childhood living in Spain, France and Gibraltar. Today, she resides in the picturesque area of Lake Tegernsee, south of Munich, Germany where she lives with her husband and their young son Timmi.

In the beginning, her enthusiasm for colored gemstones was more of a hobby than a business, however, she studied gems, traveled to the mines, and collected her favorite stones, and in 1992, combined her business acumen with her passion and knowledge of gems, and launched the Tamara Comolli® Fine Jewelry Collection.

From the very start, Comolli's intention was to create a brand that appeals to an international female clientele.

After attending international shows in 1993 both in New York and Las Vegas, the U.S. market for her collection was shown at the first Basel show in 1996, and from there her success story continued - gaining established accounts such as Neiman Marcus in the USA and Bucherer in Switzerland, among other leading and trendsetting jewelers.

In 2008 the first freestanding boutique opened its doors in Southampton, and in 2009 Tamara Comolli introduced the Hippie Glam Collection at Baselworld – using gemstones that had previously never found their justification in fine jewelry, such as Ocean Jasper and green Turquoise from Turkmenistan and Tibet. Tourmaline cabochon material found a totally new venue in the Talisman Collection.

The Hamptons Flagship Boutique came into the forefront during its first summer season, and is now part of the Collection's' image to the world. Almost 20 years of brand development now comes together in the USA, showcasing Tamara's vision of fine jewelry, fun, ageless and most of all, timeless.

In 2010, the Collection presented Paraiba Tourmaline as one of Tamara Comolli's personal favorite high-end gems; considered more precious than diamonds, she features a one-of-a-kind Collection with rings and pendants, all beautifully handcrafted. An entirely new grouping, "Paisley," utilizes the Signature Drop design in a very delicate, fine, flowing way; presenting Chandelier Earrings, true to the Comolli spirit. Beautifully crafted and comfortably lightweight, "Paisley" features diamonds combined with blueish-glowing Labradorite, warm Brown Moonstones and of course signature Turquoise.

As a design element, "Paisley" also finds itself in an entirely new, very 'Hippie-style' collection - a double-wrapped "Leather LOOP" bracelet featuring fun 18K dangling elements and clasp. A Peace sign and a 'Hippie Flower' accessorize this timely bracelet, with more slide-on options to come.

Tamara Comolli is launching a new Color Story "Romance" within the Classic Collection. "Romance" is in 18K rose gold with soft hues of rosé Morganite and Rose Quartz. Highlights of white Moonstone and champagne diamond Pavé add a unique glow and touch. Very fashionable for all seasons. "Romance" will be featured within the Mikado Collection for Flamenco and Mikado bracelets and all accessorizing pendants and rings.

To complement the successful Color Stories Tamara Comolli has added a more substantial pendant - a combination of three Bouquet pendants in a nice selection of gemstones: Cinnamon, Art Deco, Candy, Mandarin, Cashmere, Romance, Glacier and Denim.

Established meanwhile as a core Collection element, the now famous Ocean Jasper Collection with its bohemian natural appeal will present new designs such as small Coconut pendants and a new style of earrings.

For the summer the collection features bracelets and Hippie Glam Cabochon rings and pendants in a beautiful blue Chalcedony set in 18K white gold. Very appropriate for a casual everyday jeans look and also for this season's fashion denim glitz.
