Southampton - Hi everyone! Wow, is it summer yet? I am still working harder than I ever have and need to come to The Hamptons so badly I can smell the ocean in my sleep. What have you been doing? I have no idea. Well actually...working. Last weekend we were in Atlantic City at the Chelsea Hotel for an apperance at the Hilton Hotel. Bethenny, Alex and Simon were hired to do a Q & A and about 500 people showed up. I had no expectations but had the best weekend. We arrived Friday night and ran to see Kathy Griffin at the Borgotta. I absolutely adore her. I even tried to sell tee-shirts for her in the lobby. Long story but funny! Saturday we stayed by our pool with Simon and Alex and tried to relax. Saturday night we were at the Hilton and I hit a $1,250 slot in a $25 machine. After putting back some we netted about $500. We left early Sunday morning for home to get ready for the Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall.
I wore a Marc Bouwer Gown and Jeri Cohen Jewelry. I felt like a princess. This was my first Tony Awards show so I have nothing to compare it to but it was amazing. All the performances were outstanding and there was huge star power in the room. We are seeing
Fleetwood Mac at MSG this week and I will give you details later. This weekend we head to Florida to see Sol for his birthday. I am leaving all electronics home to save my mind from turning into jello. Allyson is taking her ACT test this Saturday and has been preparing for it all week.
I have been watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey and this week was a little slow. I have a horrible memory and since I really can't remember too much from it I don't think there was alot of drama. I know there will be drama next week so watch out! I have to give full disclosure to you. Last night I had dinner with Vicki from OC, Dina, Caroline and Theresa from NJ. We had a really fun time and got to know each other. Now that I met them - it is hard to be impartial. I will say that Danielle is really nuts and did some horrific things to some of them recently. I hope it all calms down.
Thank you for writing in to me and here we go!
Hi Jill: I heard you on your sister's show talking about Xocai Choclates. Which Xocai chocolate product in particular do you believe helps you get "regular" and lose weight? Thanks, Kristen
Dear Kristen: Thank you so much for listening to Lisa's show! I would order the new Probotic for the "regular" issue. It really does work! Go to www.jillzarinchocolate.com or email me your info and I can have someone contact you.
Have a great summer!
Jill
Hi Jill: Huge fan of the show - you are my favorite "housewife." I have no idea if you or your assistant will email back, but I certainly hope you will! I have a friend who lives in a penthouse in Manhattan who also has a home in East Hampton. She's 36 with three children and is married to a very successful "financial dude." (I quote that tongue and cheek because I have no idea what he really does but he's in the financial sector).
She's invited me and my family (my husband and two children) to her summer home in the Hamptons in August. I would like to send her or bring her a gift as a token of our appreciation, but I'm stuck on ideas.
HISTORY: My relationship with her is unique. We grew up in the same hometown and went to high school together - friends all throughout. Then we didn't speak until we ran into each other at a mutual friend's wedding and reaquainted. We stayed in touch through email (very infrequent reach-outs), but when I visted NY for work I would connect with her. Long story short - we have this very distant relationship - no strings attached. And, I think she likes that (as do I). I'm not a needy friend. I haven't seen her in two years, and since her invitation we've only exchanged brief emails.
Well - got any ideas? How do I say "thank you" for her generosity? My husband and I are successful (live in the North Shore in Chicago) but not her level of "successful."
Thanks for your reply Jill!
Dear Friend in the Hamptons: You didn't really say how long you would be staying. Since you think a monetary gift is meaningless, then consider buying all the food ingredients and cooking a great meal for them. Everyone loves to BBQ in the Hamptons and it is a genrous gesture.
Jill
Dear Jill: This tennis match is becoming a regular thing between you and Ramona, and after watching one of your fundraising meeting for your daughter's arthritis charity I though, how about doing a public match between the two of you and sell tickets? I know I'd pay to come watch you drag out Simon again! HA! HA! ). Take care!

Dear Shelly: Not a bad idea. I suppose if someone did organize it for us I could convince her. Maybe next season!
Thank you.
Jill
