Montauk - At a quarter after 12 noon, shortly after the parade was scheduled to begin, a seemingly endless sea of green on-lookers marched their way south down Edgemere, holding up the main event yet proving a boisterous and festive backdrop to the parade of floats that followed. When the parade finally made its way toward the Plaza, led by members of the Montauk Fire Department, the spirited attendees continued to fill the streets, with children dodging through the floats to pick up the candy and beads tossed to the crowd.
