On Saturday, December 20th, the Southampton History Museum hosted a festive evening at the Rogers Mansion in Southampton, featuring traditional dishes prepared by culinary historian Diane Schwindt. Guests enjoyed delicious bites and classic holiday songs performed live by musicians, amid the mansion's elegant decor. 

On Saturday, December 13th, Heart of the Hamptons held its highly anticipated 22nd Annual Polar Bear Plunge at the famous Cooper's Beach in Southampton. Nearly 300 participants cheered along with the countdown before plunging into the Atlantic Ocean.

This past week, the 18th Annual Hamptons Doc Fest screened 33 films over eight days. A local favorite, the festival featured gripping documentary films alongside workshops for budding filmmakers.

On Saturday, December 13th, and Sunday, December 14th, the Montauk Chamber of Commerce and Visit Montauk hosted their 4th Annual Magic of Montauk Holiday Fair. The festive weekend featured live reindeer, food trucks, kids’ train rides, gift vendors, live music, a hot cocoa contest, holiday crafts, a Santa meet-and-greet, and more.

East Hampton Historical Society hosted its annual House & Garden Tour on Saturday, November 29th. The highly anticipated event invited attendees to uncover five stunning architectural masterpieces in East Hampton. On Saturday, November 8th, the East Hampton Library concluded its Tom Twomey Series with a conversation with author Lance Richardson and his book Biography as Pilgrimage: On the Trail of Peter Mathiessen. Richardson's 8-year project included retracing Peter's 200-mile trek in the Himalayas. The event was co-sponsored by The Peter Matthiessen Center. 

On Sunday, November 9th, book and nature aficionados gathered for an intimate dinner and conversation with P.M.C. president Alex Matthiessen and award-winning author Lance Richardson at the Rams Head Inn. The discussion focused on Richardson's latest release, True Nature: The Pilgrimage of Peter Matthiessen.

On Monday, October 27th, The Center at West Park hosted a special staged reading of Kenneth Lonergan’s acclaimed play HOLD ON TO ME DARLING, performed by Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, J. Smith-Cameron, Charles Everett, Peter Friedman, Lucas Hedges, Gretchen Mol. Director Neil Pepe joined the cast for a post-reading conversation, moderated by playwright Kenneth Lonergan.

Artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd brought their National Scrollathon to LongHouse Reserve on October 25th. The East Hampton community participated in art-making workshops, allowing their creativity to flow and producing a variety of pieces that will be assembled into a single, permanent artwork.

On Sunday, October 19th, the Tyler Valcich Memorial Classic Car Show returned to the Amagansett Firehouse (439 Main Street, Amagansett, NY) for a day filled with live music, raffles, vendors, awards, and train rides for kids.
