Westhampton Beach - Of the many Irish pubs in the Hamptons, one of my favorites is Finn McCool's in Westhampton Beach. The name is the anglicized version of Fionn mac Cumhaill, a legendary warrior in Irish mythology. This pub/restaurant has created its own legend in recent years and become a favorite of year-round locals, summer residents and Hampton day-trippers. Serving lunch and dinner, including traditional Irish specialties, seven days a week, it should be part of any serious Hamptons Irish Pub crawl. There is live music every Friday night throughout the year, great Guinness and, of course, a dart board. It is also a must stop after Westhampton Beach's annual St. Patrick's Day parade, with the best corned beef and cabbage deal in the area.

They also have an extensive Martini Menu and the charming and beautiful Finn McCool's bartender,
Sonja Stensaker, took me through the details of how to create an Irish Coffee Martini for this installment of Mixology.
"Add three ounces of Jameson Irish Whiskey, one ounce of Kahlua and two ounces of coffee into a cocktail shaker full of ice. Add a teaspoon of brown sugar and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain the contents of the shaker into a martini glass. Dollop a teaspoon or two of fresh whipped cream on top and sprinkle brown sugar on top of the whipped cream and there you have it, a Finn McCool's Irish Coffee Martini!"
Ingredients:
3 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
1 oz. Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
2 oz. coffee
Brown sugar
Fresh whipped cream
Finn McCool's: 101 Riverhead Road, Westhampton Beach, 631-998-3271.
