Very rarely, if not ever, can enjoying a cocktail and cupcake lead to winning a trip to New Orleans. In honor of Mardi Gras, the W New York - Downtown (123 Washington Street, New York, 646-826-8600, www.wnewyorkdowntown.com) will be serving the Taylor Bird Sazerac cocktail with a complementary Billy's Bakery King Cake cupcake on Tuesday, March 4. One lucky attendee who discovers the baby inside their cupcake will win a two night stay for two at the W New Orleans. If you can't make it to the W Downtown, you can still celebrate like you're in The Big Easy with the signature drink from W French Quarter's SoBou restaurant.

Taylor Bird Sazerac:

 • 1 oz. Cognac
 • 1 oz. Rye Whiskey
 • 1 barspoon Steen's Cane Syrup (note: can be substituted for extra-rich 3:1 Demerara Syrup)
 • 2 dashes Orange Bitters
 • 4 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
 • Absinthe Rinse
 • Lemon Twist for garnish

Directions: Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe to coat. Stir the remaining ingredients in a mixing glass with cracked ice and strain into the rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon twist after expressing its oils over the drink.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
