New York City - On Tuesday night last week, Herradura participated as a sponsor of the Hannah Storm Foundation's annual fundraising event, held at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Time Warner Center. "Mixing it Up," brought together celebrities from the sports and media world as they "mixed it up" with music, spirits, good eats, and a live auction.
In addition, four sports celebrities were paired up with local New York mixologists to participate in "The Perfect Storm" cocktail competition, using Herradura as the main ingredient. Celebrities included tennis legend
Chris Evert, former NBA star
Jay Williams, ESPN analyst
Tim Legler, and ESPN anchor
Wendi Nix.
Hannah Storm,
Jackie DeVito from Brown-Forman and former NBA player
Stephen Howard served as the judges for the competition, and with a little help from Herradura's
Mark Drew, selected
Tim Legler's Italian-Hungarian concoction as the winner. Legler was presented with a bottle of Seleccion Suprema to commemorate his winning cocktail.
