New York City - Following the close of The Met's biggest show,
Alexander McQueen's "Savage Beauty" exhibit, it seems that New Yorkers can't get enough of the spirit of the highlands and McQueen's ancestral home.
As en homage to Alexander McQueen, "The McQueen" cocktail recipe below features a pour of The Glenrothes, a fashion-circle favorite right now, since the Scotch is made in the same Speyside region where McQueen and the other fashion houses source their tartan. It is also the only vintage single malt Scotch (rather than some pre-determined 12, 15 or 18 year old age) on the market, and this connotation has not been lost on the fashion crowd, with its ongoing obsession for vintage garments.
