The day's most important meal is no longer missing from the Southampton dining scene. The Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton, LI, NY [631] 283-6500) presents a wonderful way to begin your morning with their signature breakfast, which is offered daily from 7:30 am until 11:30 am in their newly appointed Café and outdoor courtyard. With a new general manager at the helm, Peter Iwanowski, and resident chef Samih Nelovic on board, the Inn is enacting several service-related changes including offering breakfast, which is available to guests as well as walk-ins. The menu a special menu is available for children. Menu items include - Seasonal Sliced Melons and Lavender-Honey Scented Yogurt, Fresh Berries with Yogurt, Heavy Cream, or Crème Fraiche, French Toast with Caramelized Bananas and Walnuts, Belgian Waffles with Whipped Cream and Wild Berries, and Crepes Filled with Bananas, Strawberries, Orange segments and an Orange scented Crème Fraiche. Pacific East (415 Main St., Amagansett, NY, 631-267-7770) is now offering some summer specials every night of the week. Monday is super sushi night with all sushi at half price, drink specials and DJ music. A $21.95 three course prix fixe is offered every night from 5:30 6:30 p.m. and Thursday night all night. A sample prix fixe menu includes Steamed edamame, Miso Dashi hot pot with Eastern baby vegetables, Mesclun salad and Cantonese black bean vinaigrette and vine ripened tomatoes, Bangkok fish cakes with Thai tartar sauce and Cambodian cole slaw, Miso broiled Atlantic salmon over sweet Maui ginger sauce and stir fry bok choy, Salt and pepper roasted free range chicken with creamed spinach flan and California cabernet pan juices, Moroccan braised lamb shank with sweet potato puree, roasted apricots and a curried yogurt sauce, Mango sorbet, Sweet sticky rice pudding, and Green tea gelato. Touch of Venice (2225 Wickham Ave., Mattituck, NY [631] 298-5851) is now offering a Thursday night bar special from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Complimentary bar appetizers will be offered to all bar patrons every Thursday night. The Patio (54 Main St., Westhampton Beach, NY [631] 288-4878) has introduced new summer menu items featuring his exciting "vision of fusion" cuisine. The Patio is now open seven days a week for dinner beginning at 5:30pm. New menu items include - Bartlett Pear Jardiniere tossed with orange marmalade vinaigrette topped with sunflower sprouts and a rosette of proscuitto di parma circled by 100 year old balsamic syrup, Smoked Atlantic Salmon Tempura, Jumbo Shrimp Corndogs, Roasted Garlic and Fennel Dusted Filet Mignon, BBQ'd Breast of Long Island Duck, and Chipotle Worcestershire Grilled Lamb Chops. The Inn Spot on the Bay (32 Lighthouse Rd., Hampton Bays, NY, [631] 728-1200) is now serving lunch al fresco on their wrap around porch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday thru Monday. A sample of items on the new lunch menu is as follows - Lobster Salad Roll, Day Boat Fish & Chips, BBQ Pulled Duck, Vegetable Ciabatta, Shrimp Brochette, Filet Mignon, and a Steamed Shellfish Platter.
