Aqua East has added a few new menu items to their summer menu. Aqua East is now serving dinner seven nights a week from 5 p.m. New menu items include Herb Crusted soft Shell Crab pan seared with mustard and fresh herbs, marinated chopped tomatoes and mozzarella, Lobster Raviolis with Montauk lobster meat, scallions and champagne cream, and Grilled Atlantic Marlin. Pacific East will expand their hours to seven days starting Thursday, June 2nd. They will open at 5:30 p.m. nightly and serve until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday. The prix fixe is $21.95 (cash only) for three courses or $24.95 with credit card. It will be offered Thursday night all night and all other evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Super Sushi Night will now be on Mondays with all sushi half price, drinks specials and DJ music starting at 8 p.m. On select nights the bar will feature a selected liquor, where the first 30 customers at the bar receive a complimentary cocktail with the featured liquor. The Purple Cow Restaurant & Steakhouse will open its doors for the first time at the location formerly occupied by the Farmhouse Restaurant on Friday, June 17th. Owned by local restaurateur Fred Lieberman, the Hamptons newest restaurant will feature an ambitious steakhouse menu with family-style offerings designed for sharing. The new menu offers authentic steak house staples including grilled filet mignon, steak frites, milk fed veal chop, prime porterhouse (for two), and Australian rack of lamb with your choice of sumptuous steakhouse sides. Diners may also choose from a traditional menu offering many seafood dishes and daily specials including jumbo steamed lobsters (serves two), lobster risotto, and four different types of pasta served family-style. The Purple Cow also offers a selection of pizzas created in their wood-burning oven. Chef Pierre Rougey, who most recently cooked at Raouls in SoHo, brings with him a highly trained staff of graduates from The French Culinary Institute in New York City. Della Femina is offering their price fixe special for three more weeks (until June 23, 2005). The special three-course menu, created by executive chef
Mike Rozzi, will be served Sundays through Thursday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and is $30 per person, plus tax and gratuity. On Friday, June 24th Della Femina will kick off its late night bar menu that will be offered every Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The kick-off night will feature 1/2 price drinks and complimentary passed hors doeuvres that night only. Executive chef Michael Rozzi will offer late night revelers such items as spicy fluke tartar, lobster mango salad, foie gras mousse, North Fork oysters and a platter of domestic artisanal cheeses with flatbreads. The restaurant plans to stay open until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays to provide night owls with another venue to relax and chow - either in the bar area or outside on the intimate patio. Jonathans Ristorante has recently undergone extensive renovations and has reopened with a sophisticated new look. Roberto Ornato, the owner of Jonathans, has been planning the renovations for the past year and hired Gary Gallagher, a local architect in Huntington to head up the dynamic renovations. The entire interior has been dramatically changed to create a much more open and inviting feel to the restaurant. The consistently good cuisine remains the same under the expert care of Executive Chef Tito Onofre who has helped elevate the restaurants cuisine. Among the many accolades the restaurant recently received an Award of Distinction from Zagat stating that the chef really knows his stuff and rarely make a false move.
