Spinnakers Becomes Blue Sky Restaurant And Lounge
Last weekend the Main Street space that formerly housed the Sag Harbor restaurant Spinnakers emerged from its chrysalis as the Blue Sky Restaurant and Lounge. Serving Mediterranean fare under executive chef and managing partner Giuseppe Desiderio, former manager of Grappa across the street in Sag Harbor, the Blue Sky menu features brick oven pizettes from $11 to $14, salads from $8 to $10, small plates from $8 to $17, and entrées from $10 to $28 with suggested wine pairings. Specialty items include oven roasted Tuscan bread with truffle mushrooms, goat cheese, and toasted nuts; Lobster broccoli rabe roll with puff pastry, lobster and garlic rabe; Tzakiki lamb chops with cucumber tartare; Tuna carpaccio with arugula, baby onions, shaved Reggiano; Grilled prawns tahini with spinach salad, red beans hummus, and basil oil; Brick oven roast chicken Saloniki with preserved lemon sauce, herbs and escarole; Tuna Provence with olive tapenade, capers and cherry tomatoes; and Paella d' España with clams, mussels, shrimp, lobster, chorizo, chicken, orzo and tomato broth. Lunch selections are a modified version of the dinner menu with grilled panini ranging from $10 to $16.50 including warm tuna with rugula, artichokes and tomatoes, and cod fish and chips. The restaurant will be open seven days for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. Sunday brunch will also be available from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For reservations or further information call 631-725-9353.

Turtle Crossing offers an Employee Night.


New Employee Night At Turtle Crossing
Turtle Crossing has announced a new employee night every Thursday at the bar beginning at 5 p.m. Specials for employee night include $3 drafts, $6 frozen margaritas and $6 glasses of house wine. Complimentary bite size snacks will be served at the bar, such as bite size quesadillas, corn fritters, BBQ chicken wings and more. First Ever Estate Tours At Wölffer
Wölffer Estate Tours – Tour the vineyards, stables, and grounds of the estate with a tour guide who shares the history and intriguing stories about Wölffer Estate Vineyard. Enjoy a unique opportunity to learn about The Hamptons winegrowing region and the winery's approach to winemaking. Tours (approximately 45 minutes long) depart every hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday, $20 per person. Available at the Tasting Room, no reservations necessary - no children under 12 years old.

Rugosa Open For Business
Taking over the former Almondcello space is Rugosa. Operated by Chef/Owner Bill Mammes and Sommelier and General Manager Chimene Visser, the restaurant, which opened officially on May 29, features American cuisine in a relaxed, yet refined atmosphere. Mammes, who's resume included The Maidstone Club and Indian Wells, ensures that each component of his dishes receives the utmost care. The results are pure, nuanced flavors simply and elegantly presented. Guests of Rugosa may choose from the a la carte menu, and starting this weekend a nightly chef's tasting menu comprised of smaller plates along with wines by the glass for $8. Citarella Opens In Bridgehampton
It's official, New York's premiere fine food market, is now open in Bridgehampton on Montauk Highway at the site of the former I.G.A. This is now the Hamptons' third Citarella in an easy-to-reach location on well-traveled Route 27, rounding out locations in both East Hampton and Water Mill. Besides its full line of retail, the store offers salads, sandwiches, soups, pastas and other portable fare to take to the beach. And for those whose summer kitchens are missing the all-important lobster cracker or corkscrew, there is a selection of kitchen tools available. New Items At Nick & Toni's
Nick & Toni's has added new dishes to the summer menu. New items include appetizers such as the Satur Farms escarole salad with gigante beans and toasted pistachios for $13; Crispy foie gras ravioli with white truffle oil and pecorino Romano at $18; and entrees such as the hand-cut tagliatelle with house-made guanciale and silvered scallions at $23; and the Wood roasted swordfish alla siciliana with roasted tomato, olives, capers, currants and local chicories at $37, as well as a selection of new deserts such as their Melted chocolate tart with zabaglione gelato, warm spiced ganache and chocolate nib tuille at $12. Bay Burger Jams Continue
Bay Burger Restaurant in Sag Harbor will continue "The Jam Session" - a creative playground for musicians. Come practice your craft before a live audience. This is an all inclusive event. People of all ages are invited to attend as a listener or participant, for intermediate to professional, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Every week offers different styles, including Hip Hop/Jazz Night, R&B Night, Latin/Jazz Night and Funk/Groove Night. Rowdy Hall Book Club
Rowdy Hall's new book club, Rowdy Readers, meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Rowdy Hall. The readers club will be in conjunction with Bookhampton, offering each week's selection for a 15 percent discount. The focus will be on turn of the century American writers and their short stories, keeping with the spirit of the original Rowdy Hall, which housed turn of the century writers. The group will feature an hour discussion on the author and the writing. Lunch will be available for purchase during the readers group.
