The Beacon Opens For Its 11th Season On May 14
The Beacon will re-open for its 11th season serving dinner from Thursday to Sunday, beginning Thursday, May 14 at 6 p.m. The restaurant will open Mondays starting Memorial Day, May 25. Lunch service will also begin in June. An array of new dishes include: Sushi grade tuna carpaccio with dandelion greens, grilled scallops and wasabi-soy aioli; Monkfish wrapped in bacon with fresh lentils, asparagus and balsamic reduction; and Jumbo shrimp and jumbo lump crab gratin with black-eyed peas, spinach and red pepper veloute. Executive Chef Sam McCleland will serve also Beacon classics. On the menu one will find: Steamed mussels "Beacon Style" with garlic, white wine, lemon-thyme, cream and tomatoes; Chopped salad of romaine and radicchio with crispy shrimp and peanut-ginger dressing; and Lobster rigatoni with aged cheddar, roasted corn, basil and cream.
The Hedges Inn Hosts Special Pre-Theater Dinner
The Hedges Inn, in keeping with its reputation for cordial hospitality, will host a pre-theater dinner for the Springs Community Theater Performance of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes!" at
Guild Hall of East Hampton's John Drew Theater on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16. Rowdy Hall Book Club
Rowdy Hall has announced the schedule for the new book club, Rowdy Readers, that meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Rowdy Hall. The readers club will be in conjunction with Bookhampton, offering each week's selection for a 15 percent discount. Give Back - Charity Saloon Quiz Night At Townline BBQ
Townline BBQ, host of the now popular saloon quiz night on Monday nights, will dedicate their Monday, May 11 quiz night to charity. Each participant pays a $10 participation fee, which will be donated to the chosen charity of the winning team of the night. Philippe To Open In East Hampton Tomorrow
Philippe Chow is proud to announce the opening of Philippe in East Hampton this Thursday, May 14. After many years of consideration, Philippe will finally open at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, which formerly housed the The Kobe Club. In addition to the East Hampton location, catering from Philippe will be available throughout the East End. The East Hampton location will be the brand's fourth outpost of Philippe, and will follow the same unique formula that has made it successful in New York City, Mexico City and Miami Beach. The space will feature indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as several areas for lounging, including an outside Tiki bar. Philippe East Hampton will offer its classic dishes and cocktails, including the Nine Seasons Spicy Prawns, Peking Duck, and Chicken Satay, as well as the Philipptini and Shangai Philippe. The full menu will also be available for take-out and all off-site catering. Philippe East Hampton will donate a percentage of sales from Memorial Day to Labor Day to the American Cancer Society. Philippe East Hampton will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., with food service extended until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and bar service extended until 4 a.m. The restaurant will also be available for private parties.
