Mother's Day Specials At Bedell Cellars
Bedell Cellars is celebrating Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10 with a special sweet treat for all moms - complimentary cupcakes from Butta' Cakes in Greenport. The newly opened cupcake factory will be giving cupcakes to all moms in honor of the day. Pair the sweet treats with a wine tasting from Bedell or Corey Creek's wine list for tasting fees for $8, $12 or $15. A special Cooking & Wine Gift Set will be offered, including the newly released Vineyard Cookbook, featuring seasonal recipes paired with wines from all over the country, including, of course, Bedell Cellars' wine, and a bottle of Bedell Cellars Chardonnay, all for $37.45. Mother's Day Packages At The Southampton Inn
The Southampton Inn's Mother's Day package includes a one night stay in a charming, well appointed guestroom, and dinner for two adults at OSO Restaurant. All moms get a complimentary glass of local Rosé Wine. Children are welcome and OSO Restaurant has created a wonderful kid-friendly menu. Rowdy Hall continues its Book Club.


Rowdy Hall Book Club
Rowdy Hall has announced the schedule for the new book club, Rowdy Readers, that meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Rowdy Hall. The readers club will be in conjunction with Bookhampton, offering each week's selection for a 15 percent discount. The focus will be on turn of the century American writers and their short stories, keeping with the spirit of the original Rowdy Hall, which housed turn of the century writers. The group will feature an hour discussion on the author and the writing. Lunch will be available for purchase during the readers group. The schedule is as follows: May 12 - John O'Hara; May 19 - Richard Wright; May 26 - John Cheever; June 9 - Flannery O'Connor; June 16 - Grace Paley; June 23 - Kurt Vonnegut. Two Prix Fixes At Harbor Bistro
Harbor Bistro introduces a new three-course dinner prix fixe featuring Chef Damien O'Donnell's nightly selections for the month of May. Offerings include plentiful portions with a choice of soup or salad for an appetizer, choice of pasta, fish or meat entrée, and one dessert. The menu will be available all night on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and all night at the bar only from Thursday through Sunday during May. They will offer their extensive "Before the Sunset" prix fixe every night the restaurant is open from 5 p.m. beginning Friday, May 1. The prix fixe includes three courses for $29 or two courses and a glass of wine for $29. Additionally, Harbor Bistro will offer complimentary bar appetizers every night from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning opening night on Friday, May 1. Items change daily. Sample items include Croque Monsieur, Crispy Risotto Poppers, Goat Cheese Croutons, and Lump Crab Bites. Additionally, the restaurant serves signature cocktails that pair well with the appetizers. Harbor Bistro's $19 Chef's three-course prix fixe and $29 "Before the Sunset" prix fixe with choice of three courses or two courses and wine will also be available. Mother's Day Special At Matto
On Saturday, May 10, Matto will celebrate Mother's Day with a special four-course menu for $24.95 per person plus tax and gratuity and special bellini for all moms. The menu will be available from 12 noon to 5 p.m. during lunch and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner. The regular menus will also be available. Call 631-329-0200 for details.

Give Back - Charity Saloon Quiz Night At Townline BBQ
Townline BBQ, host of the now popular saloon quiz night on Monday nights, will dedicate their Monday, May 11 quiz night to charity. Each participant pays a $10 participation fee, which will be donated to the chosen charity of the winning team of the night. Teams of five people may be formed in advance or will be formed at the event with single players. The topics will vary, with general trivia always a topic and other categories such as pop culture, food trivia, music art, geography, famous people and/or a picture round. Philippe To Open In East Hampton
Philippe Chow is proud to announce the opening of Philippe in East Hampton on May 14. After many years of consideration, Philippe will finally open at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, which formerly housed the The Kobe Club. In addition to the East Hampton location, catering from Philippe will be available throughout the East End. The East Hampton location will be the brand's fourth outpost of Philippe, and will follow the same unique formula that has made it successful in New York City, Mexico City and Miami Beach. The space will feature indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as several areas for lounging, including an outside Tiki bar. Philippe East Hampton will offer its classic dishes and cocktails, including the Nine Seasons Spicy Prawns, Peking Duck, and Chicken Satay, as well as the Philipptini and Shangai Philippe. The full menu will also be available for take-out and all off-site catering. Philippe East Hampton will donate a percentage of sales from Memorial Day to Labor Day to the American Cancer Society. Philippe East Hampton will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., with food service extended until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, and bar service extended until 4 a.m. The restaurant will also be available for private parties.

For lovers of Pinot Noir, Loring Wine Company is offering a gorgeous $50 meal at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor with exceptional wines presented by the winemaker on Wednesday, May 6 with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:15 p.m. The American Hotel is located on Main Street in Sag Harbor. Bay Burger Jams Continue
Bay Burger Restaurant in Sag Harbor will continue "The Jam Session" - a creative playground for musicians. Come practice your craft before a live audience. This is an all inclusive event. People of all ages are invited to attend as a listener or participant, for intermediate to professional, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Every week offers different styles, including Hip Hop/Jazz Night, R&B Night, Latin/Jazz Night and Funk/Groove Night. Four Season's Caterer Mother's Day Brunch Buffet

Lone Sharks Perform
Sharks encircle Long Island this weekend with shows east and west. Come and have a pint and dance to the rollicking sounds of Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks (10 times voted "Best of the Best"). On Friday, May 8, at Giacomo Jack's at 248 South Ketcham Avenue in Amityville, 631-691-2722, with great food, drinks and the music starts at 9 p.m. Every second Friday of the month the Sharks appear at Jack's - no cover. On Saturday, May 9 the Sharks attack Southampton Publick House Brewery at 40 Bowden Square in Southampton, 631-283-2800, where the Sharks return to one of their favorite establishments and one that looms large in their legend! Music starts at 10:30 p.m. and what a sudsy night it will be!
