OSO Announces New Dining Series "Dinner and. . ."
In an effort to help keep the winter doldrums at bay, OSO at the Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton, 631-283-1166, www.southamptoninn.com) is hosting a new dinner series that invites a melange of notable names from the Hamptons community to come and speak to guests on a variety of topics. The first event will be on Feb. 6 and will feature a conversation with Dan Rattiner, local raconteur and founder of Dan's Papers. Other guests include Chairman of the Southampton Democratic Committee Gordon Herr, and wine expert Miguel Martin of Palmer Vineyards will share his expertise and offer tasting and wine to complement Chef Brian Naylor's cuisine on March 13. "Dinner and. . ." is $25 per person.

Townline BBQ's Offers New Happy Hour Specials
Starting this week, Townline BBQ (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack, 631-537-2271 (BBQ1) www.townlinebbq.com) has a new assortment of specials on Thursdays, Fridays, and Mondays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. The specials, available in the bar room only, include a boat of wings (24 wings) with blue cheese dressing at $6, homemade Townline jalapeno poppers at 50 cents each, and $15 growler/pitcher of all tap beers. Townline BBQ is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Three Course Prix Fixe Three Nights A Week At Tierra Mar
Tierra Mar (231 Dune Road, Westhampton Beach, 631-288-2700, www.ontheatlantic.com) now offers a $19.95 three-course prix fixe every Thursday, Friday and Sunday until Thursday, Feb. 26.

Fredrik Berselius Named New Executive Chef At Wildthyme
Wildthyme Restaurant (129 Noyac Road, Southampton, 631-204-0007) is scheduled to reopen on Feb. 13 under the direction of newly appointed executive chef Fredrik Berselius. Berselius, formerly of Thomas Keller's Per Se and chef de cuisine at Falai, will be producing the same quality cuisine fans of Wildthyme have come to expect with the addition of his own unique culinary flair.

Valentine's Day Comes Early At The Inn Spot On The Bay
On Feb. 13, The Inn Spot on the Bay (32 Lighthouse Road, Hampton Bays, 631-728-1200, www.theinnspot.com) in Hampton Bays is having a seven-course Chocolate and Wine tasting dinner. With courses that range from classic dishes like a chocolate and cheese soufflé to the more exotic offerings like the chocolate fried rice with baby shrimp, water chestnuts, peppadews, and scallions. In addition to the tasting menu, diners can opt for menu that comes paired with wines, $55 for the tasting menu, $75 for the chocolate and wine menu.

Wine Dinner At Fresno
On Saturday, Feb. 8 Fresno (8 Fresno Place, East Hampton, 631-324-8700, www.fresnorestaurant.com) will be hosting a five-course meal specially prepared by Chef Gretchen Menser, with each course paired with wines from importer Eric Solomon. With courses like tapas paired with a 2008 Con Class Rueda from Stios de Bodega and Cassoulet of Duck Confit, garlic sausage and white beans paired with a 2005 Solanera, from Castano in Yecla, as well as some surprises, this isn't a meal to miss. Dinner starts at 6 p.m., $75 per person.
