Secret Saturdays at The Southampton Publick House – Southampton's Secret is Out!

The Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, NY [631] 283-2800) in conjunction with Jose Cuervo is announcing SECRET SATURDAYS featuring $2.50 bottles of Secret Ale, $3 Jose shots, and $5 margaritas from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. The evening¹s drink specials will feature a choice of three tequilas: Jose Cuervo Especial, Jose Cuervo Traditional, and Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia. The Southampton Publick House is offering a pre-club experience with D.J. Lucienne who has played Club NV and The Piers in New York City. D.J. Fresh Lobster at The Inn Spot on the Bay with New Lobster Tank

The Inn Spot on the Bay (32 Lighthouse Rd., Hampton Bays, NY, [631] 728-1200) has recently added a new commercial lobster tank in an effort to offer the freshest lobsters possible. The new tank holds up to 300 pounds of lobsters in a bacteria-free environment filled with sterilized bay water. They have also purchased a commercial size steamer so that the lobsters are moved directly from the tank to the steamer when ordered. The Inn Spot on the Bay is now offering a Wednesday Night Clam Bake for $25 to allow diners to take advantage of the fresh lobster available. The Inn Spot on the Bay is open for dinner seven days a week from 5 p.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday thru Monday. Festival Benefits Make-A-Wish Via Celebrity Auction Martha Stewart, Katie Couric & Howard Stern decorate aprons

The First Annual Hamptons Wine & Food Festival (www.hamptonswineandfood.com) will take place on Friday, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Hayground School in Bridgehampton. The Festival will include a unique silent auction in the Cookbook Café from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation featuring one-of-a-kind aprons decorated by many top celebrities including domestic goddess Martha Stewart. Promoted as Celebrity-Make-A-Dish, various Hampton celebs will use their artistic talent by adding personal touches to the aprons using fabric paints. In addition to Stewart, other notables who have committed to the event include the cast of NBC¹s "The Today Show" - Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, Jill Rappaport and Al Roker, fashion designers Betsey Johnson and Nicole Miller, radio superstar Howard Stern and author and entrepreneur Ivana Trump.

An auction registration desk will be in the Cookbook Café with all aprons on display indicating who decorated them. Other items to be auctioned off include a special edition Rabbit bottle opener and a dozen hand-blown wine glasses from Metrokane, a gift certificate to re:new spa in New York City and dinner for two at L'Ecole in Manhattan.

The cost for the daytime events from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. is $150 per person, including gourmet food sampling, chef demos and competitions, book signings and numerous wine and food seminars. Platinum Chef Competition Slated for Hamptons Wine & Food Festival The Greatest Chef Event of The Summer is coming to the Hamptons!

The First Annual Hamptons Wine & Food Festival (www.hamptonswineandfood.com) will take place on Friday, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Hayground School in Bridgehampton. The Festival will include a special Platinum Chef Competition that will showcase the talented chefs that proudly call the Hamptons their home. Inspired by the Food Network's Iron Chef series, the Platinum Chef competition begins on the morning of Wednesday, August 24th when each of the local participants will pick up a picnic basket filled with a secret ingredient. The participants will have 24 hours to create the quintessential Hamptons picnic incorporating the secret ingredient throughout their meal creations. On Thursday August 25, our panel of celebrity judges, through a blind tasting, will narrow down the contestants to the top 4. The semi-finalist chefs will be judged on taste, presentation, and incorporation of the secret ingredient.

Round 2 of The Platinum Series will open the Festival on Friday morning in The Expo Culinary Center. The four finalists will engage in a round-robin competition with a newly revealed secret ingredient. This event will be MC'd by Jerry Della Femina and Judy Licht while the panel of judges narrow the contestants down to the top two. The third and final round will take place on Saturday morning. Similar to the second round, the finals will also take place in The Expo Culinary Center and will once again be MC'd by Della Femina and Licht - however this time they will be competing for the title of Platinum Chef in the Hamptons and a fabulous "Secret Ingredient" Grand Prize that will be announced at the Festival. In keeping with our full line-up of the "Best of the Best" in Festival Talent, the Platinum Chef Competition includes: Jason Weiner of Almond and Almondito, Jeffrey Harter of Alison Restaurant, Julio Quisbert of JL East, JLX, Madame Tongs, Michael A. Castino of Pacific East, Colette Connor of The Inn Spot on the Bay, Todd Jacobs of Tierra Mar, Joseph Realmuto of Nick & Toni¹s, Michael Rozzi of Della Femina, and Douglas A. Gulija of The Plaza Café. Judges for the competition have yet to be announced.

Arthur Wolf of Turtle Crossing to Appear at Loaves & Fishes Cookshop

Chef Arthur Wolf of Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, 324-7166) will be appearing at Loaves & Fishes Cookshop (2422 Montauk Hwy., Bridgehampton, NY) on Saturday, August 20th from 12 to 2 p.m. Wolf will be demonstrating his culinary expertise in Turtle Crossing¹s sumptuous BBQ and sharing the recipes with customers. Tutto Italiano Serves Wood Oven Pizza

Chef Pasquale Langella of Tutto Italiano (74 Montauk Hwy, East Hampton, NY [631] 324-9500) is serving up a delicious selection of prepared foods including made-to-order pizzas from their wood burning oven. Pizzas are available in three sizes individual (9²/$4), large (18²/$12) and Sicilian (16²/$16). The Sicilian is available in half sizes (8²/$8). Toppings are priced at $1-2.50 depending on size and include the following choices: pepperoni, sausage, pepper, onion, anchovy, chicken, olive, mushroom, artichoke, broccoli, meatball, and spinach.
