Menus are changing again across the Hamptons - head over to your favorites for new tasty treats. Brunch, breakfast, kid-friendly, and live music are the buzz words this week - check out who's serving what.
New Menu Items At Almond
Almond (1970 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, 631-537-8885) has added some new menu items to their menu. The menu items include - Arugula, beets and Roquefort with candied walnuts salad $12, Chicken liver pate with red onion marmalade $11, Grilled flat bread with house cured duck proscuitto, goat cheese, arugula, and red wine reduction $12, Roasted Montauk flounder fingerling potatoes, piquillo pepper coulis, and parsley oil $24, and Shank of lamb raqout with baby vegetables and minted gnocchi $24. Almond is also offering their special three-course prix fixe for $21.95 every night from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and all night Mondays and their special plates du jour every night. Almond is now open seven days a week starting at 6 p.m.
New Summer Menu At MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge
Chef Matthew Guiffrida of MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge (760 Montauk Highway, Water Mill Shopping Center, Suite 5A, Water Mill, 631-726-2606) recently introduced a new menu for the summer season. The menu features some items which Guiffrida served at the James Beard House last April. The restaurant is now open Wednesday through Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m. and for Sunday brunch at 10 a.m.
Kid-Friendly At The Surf Shack!
Surf Shack (2095 Montauk Highway, Amagansett, 631-267-6980) is kid-friendly. Bring the kids any day of the week from 12 noon to 7 p.m. and they eat for $.99 cents! After 7 p.m. all items on the kids menu are only $5. The kid's menu includes: spaghetti with marinara sauce, chicken fingers with fries, hot dog with fries, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, and mini-burgers.
Brunch At Magic's Pub
Magic's Pub (113 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, 631-288-6105) is now offering brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a complimentary soda, juice, iced tea, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or mimosa included with each entrée at the table, this promotion is not available at the bar. Magic's Pub is open daily year-round, serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dinner from 5 p.m. to 12 midnight and Brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Breakfast At Sunset Café
Sunset Café (49 Sunset Avenue, Westhampton Beach, 631-288-3010) now offers a variety of breakfast choices. Selections include: Poached organic eggs with bagel or toast - one egg $3.75, two eggs $4.75. Whole wheat and honey waffles $4.50 with mixed fruit $5.50, and Yogurt parfait with granola clusters, organic yogurt, mixed fruit and local honey $7.50. Sunset Café is a quick-service, casual cafe featuring healthy, new-American, organic baked goods, breakfasts, salads, wraps, sandwiches, soups, chili and afternoon treats. Also serves fine, organic grown coffees, cappuccinos and numerous coffee concoctions. Sunset Café also offers free Wi-Fi internet access. The Café is open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday they are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday Live Music & Happy Hour
Annona Restaurant (112 Riverhead Road, Westhampton Beach, 631-288-7766) features live music and two-for-one drinks at the highly-styled bar of its top-rated modern Italian restaurant every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in season. The happy hour performances are from acoustic guitarist Walter Finley accompanied by David Turinsky on saxaphone. A special performance by local East Ender Jeff Le Blanc on his acoustic guitar is set for 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.
Matto's Executive Chef Franco Russo At Loaves & Fishes Cookshop
Matto's (109 North Main Street, East Hampton, 631-329-0200), executive chef Franco Russo will be giving a cooking demonstration on June 21 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Loaves & Fishes in Bridgehampton. Paumanok Vineyards Wine Dinner At Fresno
Fresno (8 Fresno Place, East Hampton, 631-324-8700) will host a wine dinner with Paumanok Vineyards on Sunday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. The price is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended. The menu, focusing on local ingredients has been created by Executive Chef Gretchen Menser.
Stonewalls Restaurant Presents A Pellegrini Vineyards Wine Dinner
Stonewalls Restaurant (967 Reeves Avenue, Riverhead, 631-506-0777) is hosting a four-course wine dinner featuring Pellegrini Vineyards on Friday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $60 per person plus tax and gratuity. The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Bedell Cellars & Corey Creek Vineyards Wine Dinner At The Rams Head Inn
Bedell Cellars (36225 Main Road, Cutchogue) and Corey Creek Vineyards (Main Road, Rt. 25, Southold) wines will be featured at a wine dinner on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at the Rams Head Inn (108 Ram Island Drive). The cost of the dinner is $75 for the public and $60 for wine club members. The dinner includes a cocktail hour with local treats and a sampling of Bedell wines, followed by five courses paired with Bedell Cellars and Corey Creek wines. Seasonal Dining On Shelter Island
The Pridwin Beach Hotel & Cottages (Crescent Beach, 81 Shore Road, Shelter Island, 631-749-0476) opens its dining room and lounge to the public starting Sunday, June 29. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, with arguably the most beautiful water view from Shelter Island, overlooking Southold Bay, are served seven days through Labor Day except on Wednesday when The Pridwin hosts its legendary, outdoor, all-you-can-eat cookouts
Patrons may also enjoy the exceptional waterfront views from inside the restaurant or al fresco on the wrap-around deck. Boaters are welcome to dock at The Pridwin's private pier while enjoying a lunch or dinner menu and view. Visitors may also visit to catch a sunset and enjoy sweet libations on the deck, in the lounge area or at the 25-foot granite and mahogany bar.
Outdoor cookouts are held every Wednesday from July 9 to Aug. 24. Special Saturday cookouts will be held on July 5 and July 12. Wednesday cookouts cost $31 for adults and $19 per child under 12-years-old with a supplement on Saturday. Reservations are required.
