Lemonarf, a Club for Kids spearheaded by Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF), will once again offer the chance to teach children about philanthropy by motivating them to run their own “Lemonarf” Stand in order to raise funds in support of the Animal Rescue Fund in the Hamptons. Last summer, Lemonarf members raised an impressive $4,000.
A Lemonarf stand is similar to a regular lemonade stand, but improved. Designed to show how crucial the young philanthropists are to the non-profit organization, club members will be provided with a free Lemonarf stand starter kit, which includes a homemade lemonade recipe, “barking-good” cookie recipe, a LemonArt poster, an official LemonArt minibank to collect donations, and LemonArf cups and buttons to hand out to the customers.
“We hope to engage young kids to give back to the community and help ARF’s homeless animals with this program. It’s a fun way for them to get involved and join in our cause and make a difference,” stated Jamie Berger, Director of Marketing and Communications, ARF.
While fun is the priority of the Lemonarf stand, funds generated by the young humanitarians are directly donated to the care of animals at ARF. The Lemonarf stand also provides an opportunity for the children to sell their own homemade items such as jewelry, or artwork.
Additionally, the Lemonarf club members should notify ARF when and where they will be hosting their Lemonarf fundraiser, this way the ARF can help promote the event on their online Facebook calendar. Additionally, participants will have their picture taken when they bring their donation to ARF. These photos will be shared over social media @arfhamptons.
ARF’s mission is to “actively rescues cats and dogs, provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found.” Since it was founded in 1974, the non-profit has saved over 25,000 cats and dogs.
While the Lemonarf stand is all for enjoyment, these children are making an enormous philanthropic difference for the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons.
