Ring in the New Year at Southampton Publick House
Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, 631-283-2800 www.publick.com) will offer a special prix fixe on New Year's Eve, Monday, Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The three-course special is $40 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended. The regular dinner menu is also available.
The celebration continues with a New Year's Eve party in the Taproom beginning at 10 p.m., featuring DJ, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast. There is a $10 cover charge at the door for the party.
Ring in 2008 at MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge
MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge (760 Montauk Highway, Water Mill Shopping Center, Suite 5A, Water Mill, 631-726-2606) presents a special four-course dinner in honor of the New Year on New Year's Eve, Monday, Dec. 31. The first seating will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $55 per person. The second seating will be from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. for $85 per person, and will include a champagne toast. Steve Fredericks, vocalist and guitarist, will also perform from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The restaurant is open for dinner Thursday through Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and for brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ring in the New Year at the Southampton Inn
Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton, 631-283-6500 and 800-832-6500, www.southamptoninn.com) is ringing in the New Year with a dinner gala on Monday, Dec. 31 beginning at 8 p.m. The event will feature a four-hour open bar, live music, a champagne toast at midnight and dinner. The cost of the gala is $125 per person plus tax and gratuity.
Celebrate New Year's Eve at Nick & Toni's
Nick & Toni's (136 N. Main St., East Hampton, 631-324-3550) will be celebrating New Year's Eve, Monday, Dec. 31 starting at 6 p.m. with their regular menu and a la carte specials. They will be closed on New Year's Day. Nick & Toni's is open Wednesday-Sunday starting at 6 p.m.
Celebrate New Year's Eve at WEI FUN
WEI FUN (203 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, 631-329-2600) will be celebrating New Year's Eve on Monday, Dec. 31 starting at 5:30 p.m. offering their "WEI Two FUN" family style prix fixe. Enjoy Asian food with family friends and choose two items from the starters and two items from either "Noodles & Rice" or "Stir Fry" sections on the menu. The menu is served family style for $19 per guest, there is a minimum of two people for this promotion and it is not available for take out; the regular menu will also be served. WEI FUN is now open Wednesday-Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Magic Eight Ball at Wildthyme Restaurant and Bar
Wildthyme Restaurant and Bar (129 Noyac Road, Southampton, 631-204-0007) rings in 2008 with "The Magic Eight Ball" on New Year's Eve, Monday, Dec. 31. The celebration features an eight-course dinner created by executive chef Michael Gomez paired with wines from Wildthyme Restaurant and Bar's extensive selection. Guests may dance into 2008 while a DJ spins tunes. Magic 8-tinis, champagne and fine wine will flow all night. Dinner will be served beginning at 8 p.m. and costs $125 per person. Drinks will be available for $50 per person at 11 p.m. A special three-course prix fixe will also be available for $29 per person from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Black tie is optional. Reservations are recommended.
