Edible East End's Great Food Truck Derby is caravanning to Hayground School in Bridgehampton on Friday, August 14th, to offer attendees amazing bites from East End and New York-based favorites. From 4 to 7 p.m., trucks from Montauk to Manhattan will be stationed and delivering up must-try ethnic and local dishes.

"The Great East End Food Truck Derby is back! We're thrilled to be bringing a caravan of New York City and Long Island food trucks to the Hayground School, alongside New York wines, beers and other beverages," shared Kerri Deuel, event director. "We're expecting more than 15 trucks this year, so get your tickets early and come hungry!"

So far, participants include Eat Me Drink Me, Whole Le Crepe, Hampton Coffee Co., Blondies Bakeshop, Hamptons Foodie, Coolhaus, Pizza Luca, noah's, Grill Boys Food Truck, Slammin Slider Nice Buns, The Inn Spot... Out, Ponti Rossi, Hamptons Aristocrat, The Sea Bean Natural Foods Co., Sweet'tauk, Long Island Oyster Co., Old School Favorites, and Sydney's Sweets.

When attendees need something to wash down the delicious bites, they can try beer from Brooklyn Brewery, Saranac, Coney Island Brewing Co., and Southampton Publick House, or wines from Wölffer Estate and Bridge Lane.

Admission is $65 and includes one serving at every food truck, as well as complimentary beverages. Tickets for children 12-years-old and under are $20. VIP tickets, which allow attendees early access to the food trucks starting at 3:30 p.m., are available for $100.

As if that's not enough for foodies, the event will coincide with the Hayground School Community farmers market, so guests can purchase a snack for later or stock up on tasty offering for the weekend. Edible East End's Great Food Truck Derby will benefit Hayground schoolyard projects, which provide culinary arts training for local kids.

Guest (never again) from bayport says::
I cannot believe how disappointing this truck derby was. We drove over 1 hr to get here. I had gone last year and expected it to improve not go downhill. 65.00 a ticket is not exactly cheap. People do not expect french fries and to boot the french fries are sold out 1 1/2 hrs before the event ends. More then half of the trucks had food that was nothing to write home about. I could have found better trucks for the event. I am beyond disappointed. I heard so many people complaining. This was a charity event!!! How about scoping out some new trucks that seem interested next time? Signed..not worth the drive :(
