Beer and Food Tasting Dinner Featuring Southampton Ales and Lagers

Southampton Ales & Lagers of The Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, NY [631] 283-2800) will be featured at a beer and food tasting on Friday, Oct. 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Loaves & Fishes, Bridgehampton Inn (226 Main Street, Bridgehampton, NY [631] 537-3660). The cost of the dinner is $79 per guest.

Harbor Bistro Bids Farewell to the 2007 Season and Cleans Out Inventory

Harbor Bistro (313 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton, NY [631] 324-7300 www.harborbistro.net) closes the 2007 season with special offers in honor of guests on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27, beginning at 5 p.m. In appreciation, diners may enjoy a complimentary appetizer or salad on the menu with the purchase of any entrée. Discounted beverages will also be available including $5 mixed drinks including premium liquors, and $2 for all beers and wines by the glass. Reservations are recommended. The restaurant will open its doors for the 2008 season next May.

Halloween Party at Turtle Crossing

Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, [631] 324-7166) will host a Halloween Costume Party on Friday, Oct. 26, featuring live music by the Annie Morgan Band from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be free house margaritas and appetizers for anyone in costume. There will also be prizes for best costume. Also note, this will be the last weekend for Turtle Crossing this season. They will close Sunday, Oct. 28 and reopen in May 2008.

Harvest Wine Dinner at the Stone Creek Inn

The Stone Creek Inn (405 Montauk Highway, East Quogue, NY [631] 653-6770 or www.stonecreekinn.com) will serve a four-course Harvest Wine Dinner in conjunction with Hamptons Wine Shoppe on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. The wines will be chosen and presented by Christopher Miller, wine writer, educator and sommelier. The cost of the dinner is $125 per person plus gratuity.

Fresno Wine Dinner Featuring the Wine and Food of South America

Fresno (8 Fresno Place, East Hampton, NY [631] 324 8700) will host a Latin wine dinner in conjunction with Domaine Wines of Pantigo Place in East Hampton on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. Passed hors d'oeuvres will be served until 7:15 p.m. followed by a six-course dinner, prepared by Fresno Executive Chef Gretchen Menser. The menu will celebrate the wine and food of Latin America with emphasis on South America, Portugal, Chile and Argentina. The price is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended.

Rowdy Hall Celebrates Halloween with their 8th Annual Rowdyween

Rowdy Hall (10 Main St. in the Parrish Mews, East Hampton, NY [631] 324-8555) will hold their 8th annual "Rowdyween" Party on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. A $25 admission fee entitles revelers to one complimentary drink, passed hors d'oeuvres, drink specials, $5 drafts and $5 well drinks, and live music preformed by Little Head Thinks. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Come in costume . . . or don't come at all! Tickets may be purchased in advance for $20.

La Fondita Celebrates the Day of the Dead

La Fondita (74 Montauk Hwy., Amagansett, NY [631] 267-8800) will be celebrating the Day of the Dead on Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, with a special menu.

Della Femina Serves Northern Italian Wine Dinner

Della Femina (99 North Main St., East Hampton, NY [631] 329-6666) is serving a five-course Italian wine dinner on Friday, Nov. 2 beginning at 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $75 per person, not including taxes and gratuity.

Food & Co. Presents a Thanksgiving Feast To Go

FOOD & CO. (283 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, NY [631] 329-1000 or www.foodandco.com), one of the Hamptons' mainstay caterers since 1993, now with chef/co-owner Stacie Pierce's thumbprint on the menu, offers a traditional a la carte Thanksgiving dinner to take home. All orders must be placed by Saturday, Nov. 17. In addition, a Thanksgiving eve and day after menu is available for $60 per person with a six-person minimum featuring caesar salad, a choice of cedar planked salmon or grilled filet of beef, and two side accompaniments.

Chefs Tom Schaudel and Michael Ross of Jedediah's Celebrate the North Fork with a Special Dinner at The James Beard House

Chefs Tom Schaudel and Michael Ross of Jedediah's (400 South Jamesport Avenue, Jamesport, NY [631] 722-2900) located within Jedediah Hawkins Inn will be serving a special North Fork celebration dinner at The James Beard House (167 West 12th Street, New York, NY [212] 675 4984, www.jamesbeard.org) on Wednesday, Nov. 28 starting at 7 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $125 for members of the James Beard Foundation and $155 for non-members.

Friday Night Wine Dinners in the Captain's Cellar

Jedediah's (400 South Jamesport Avenue, Jamesport NY [631] 722-2900)) at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn now serves a wine tasting dinner every Friday night in the Captain's Cellar from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost of the wine dinner is $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity and reservations are required. The menu is prepared by Chef Tom Schaudel and changes weekly.

Southampton Ales & Lagers Takes Home Silver & Bronze Medals at the Great American Beer Festival

Southampton Ales & Lagers of The Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, NY [631] 283-2800) won silver and bronze medals on Saturday, October 13th at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. The silver award went to the Southampton Double White in the Belgian Ale category and the Southampton Saison won a bronze medal in the French and Belgian Saison category. The Double White previously won one of the best beers in the world from Men's Journal; third place for best witbier from DRAFT Magazine; Mid-Atlantic Brewing News #1 beer for 2005; #1 in Witbier (white beers) worldwide by Beeradvocate.com; and a silver medal in 2003 at the Real Ale Festival in Chicago. The Saison previously won a Silver Medal in 2005 at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver.

New Lunch & Dinner Menu Items at Rowdy Hall

Rowdy Hall (10 Main St. in the Parrish Mews, East Hampton, [631] 324-8555) has added some new menu items to their lunch and dinner menu.

Discounted Move Tickets Nick & Toni's

Nick & Toni's (136 N. Main St., East Hampton, [631] 324-3550) is now offering discounted movie tickets with your meal. Patrons of Nick & Toni's are entitled to a UA Cinema movie ticket at the cost of $7.50 with their meal. Movie Tickets are available Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights and only available from 6 p.m. -7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

New Prix Fixe at Matto

Matto (109 North Main Street, East Hampton, [631] 329-0200) is now serving a full liquor bar. Matto ("crazy" in Italian) is an authentic Trattoria offering inventive Italian cuisine in a casual yet lively atmosphere. Matto is now offering a two-course prix fixe Sunday through Thursday all night and Friday and Saturday until 5:45 p.m. The cost of the prix fixe is $21.95 plus beverages, tax, and gratuity. Matto is now open for lunch on Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and will be open for dinner Monday to Sunday starting at 5 p.m.

Daily Lunch Special at Townline BBQ

Townline BBQ (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack, NY) is now offering a daily lunch special from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lunch special changes daily but always consists of two meats and two sides for $8.50. It is available to stay or to go.
