Dishes include: pepper crusted tuna on daikon slices with wasabe, crème fraiche and caviar; duck liver pâte on caramelized figs with onion marmalade and basil chiffonade; duck, portobello mushroom and mozzarella quesadillas with plum apricot salsa; and vegetarian quesadillas with plum apricot salsa. Sheridan will be sharing his recipes with onlookers at no charge.
Southampton Ales & Lagers featured at the Great American Beer Festival
Southampton Ales & Lagers of The
Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, NY [631] 283-2800) will be featured at the Great American Beer Festival at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado on Thursday, October 11th from 5:30 – 10 p.m., Friday , October 12th from 5:30 – 10 p.m. and Saturday October 13th from 12 – 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 – 10 p.m. Over 1,650 beers will be on the festival floor. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 dollars at the door. Groups fifteen or more can get tickets in advance for $40, designated driver tickets are also available for $15 in advance or at the door. Michael Anthony's Food Bar (2925 North Wading River Rd., Wading River, NY 11792 [631] 929-8800) offers a special six-course cooking class every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. starting on Sunday, October 7th. Executive Chef Michael Anthony Toscano will teach 2 & ½ hours of hands on instruction including, preparation methods and techniques. After the teaching session, students will then go into the dining room with Michael to go over recipes and enjoy all six courses. The cost of the class is $100 per person, each class is limited to four people and registration is required.
