Celebrate Octoberfest in True German Fashion!
Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Sq., Southampton, NY [631] 283-2800 www.publick.com) is hosting their annual Octoberfest Celebration on Friday, September 28th in true German fashion. The party will kick off with the ceremonial tapping of the first Octoberfest Lager keg. Traditional German drink specials will be available all night long and a special three-course prix fix will be served in the dining room. The DJ will play traditional Bavarian beer hall songs and there will be Publick House merchandise giveaways for a few lucky partygoers.
German style beers from Southampton Ales & Lagers will be offered at Happy Hour prices. Brews include Munich Style Southampton Golden Lager, Octoberfest Lager, and Bavarian Wheat Beer. Drink specials will also be offered on German liquors such as Jaegermeister and Goldschlager. The $21.95 prix fix will feature traditional German cuisine.
New Prix Fixe at The Laundry!
The Laundry Restaurant (341 Pantigo Lane, East Hampton, NY, 631-324-3199) will be offering a three-course prix fixe, Sunday – Thursday all night and Friday and Saturday til 7 p.m. The cost of the prix fixe is $19.80 per person plus tax and gratuity. The Laundry is now open seven days starting at 5:30 p.m.
Handmade Warm Mozzarella at Tutto Italiano
Summer came and went, but handmade mozzarella from Tutto Italiano (74 Montauk Hwy, East Hampton, NY [631] 324-9500) is here to stay! Chef Pasquale Langella will demonstrate and serve handmade warm mozzarella in-store every weekend during the Hamptons off-season on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. Demonstrations are free.
Langella, a native of Napoli, Italy, was taught how to make fresh mozzarella by his grandmother. The 30-minute process features just a few ingredients including whole milk, piping hot water (a staggering 150 degrees), and a handful of salt. Langella churns out about 22-25 pounds of mozzarella with each batch.
The Patio at 54 Main Presents a Three-Course Chef's Tasting!
The Patio at 54 Main (54 Main St., Westhampton Beach, NY [631] 288-4878) offers a special three-course chef's tasting prix fixe dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Diners may enjoy soup or salad, an entrée and a delicious dessert for $25 plus tax and gratuity. The chef's tasting menu will change weekly.

The Patio at 54 Main (54 Main St., Westhampton Beach, NY [631] 288-4878) offers happy hour specials every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Happy hour features two for the price of one drinks on all wine, beer, martinis and mixed drinks. Guests may also enjoy some bites at the bar.
New Prix Fixe at Matto
Matto (109 North Main Street, East Hampton, (631) 329-0200) is now offering a three-course prixe fixe, Sunday – Thursday all night and Saturday and Sunday till 6:30 p.m. The cost of the prix fixe is $21.95 plus beverages, tax and gratuity.
New Autumn Menu at The Seafood Barge
The Seafood Barge (62980 Main Road, Southold, NY 11971, 631 765-3010) is now serving their autumn menu for the season. Some of the new menu items include Grilled Local Tuna, Walnut Butter Crusted Scottish Salmon, Grilled Local Sword Fish and Steamed Mussels, and Grilled All Natural Strip Steak.
Fall Lunch Specials at Turtle Crossing
Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Rd., East Hampton, 324-7166) is introducing fall lunch specials every Saturday and Sunday starting at noon. The specials include a soup or chili with an entrée for $12.
Della Femina Welcomes Back the Three-Course Prix Fixe
Della Femina (99 North Main St., East Hampton, NY [631] 329-6666) is serving a three-course prix fixe for $30 per person plus tax and gratuity beginning September 16th, Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The prix fixe menu will change weekly for variety.
New Fall Hours at MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge
MUSE Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge, (Water Mill Shopping Ctr, Ste 5A, Water Mill N.Y. 11976 [631] 726-2606) will be open Thursday through Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m. They will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday starting September 17, 2007.
