Southampton - The Pioneer Chapter of Hadassah annual "Woman of the Year" fundraiser luncheon includes a cocktail hour, three course lunch catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, a fashion show by Shibori - an Eleen Fisher specialty boutique, a gift bag with Tate's Bake Shop's mouthwatering chocolate chip cookies, and a donation to Hadassah to benefit breast cancer education and research. Raffles will also be sold.

Kathleen King Friedman, founder and owner of Tate's Bake Shop, and author of "The Tate's Bake Shop Cookbook.
Born and raised in Southampton, Kathleen King Friedman began selling cookies at her family's farm stand when she was just 11 years old and opened her first bakery in 1980. Her all natural cookies are now distributed to more than 5,000 gourmet stores nationwide and she has a thriving wholesale operation and highly successful ecommerce site. She is active in the community and supports various local organizations.

Rachel Ray, Kathleen King Friedman recently won a GOLD sofi award for her Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip cookie at the 2011 Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC.
The event will be held at Oceanbleu at the Bath and Tennis on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach on Monday, August 15, at 11 a..m Boutiques and Silent Auction open, and at 12:30 p.m. the luncheon program begins
