LongHouse Reserves had their Student Annual VI on Tuesday, June 18, where local arts educators, student peers, and LongHouse Reserve representatives honored outstanding submissions from more than three hundred entries of student artwork inspired by visits to the art center. The artwork was judged by teachers from the LongHouse Reserve Education Committee. The event is held every year to celebrate the importance of art in the lives of children, and arts education.

Students selected from all across Long Island ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade submitted both individual and collaborative works of art in a variety of media. Everything from sculptures, to textile pieces, to digital media pieces were put in for consideration. Judges selected winner in more than 15 categories. Outstanding pieces were recognized with ribbons and certificates of merit.

The annual reception of the art showcased the top submissions. Students, families, and friends were able to walk around and view the students creative works while jamming to the sounds of the upbeat Bridgehampton High School's Marimba Band.

Guests, who mingled with the young artists and their families, included LongHouse Founder Jack Lenor Larsen, LongHouse President Dianne B., LongHouse Executive Director Matko Tomicic, LongHouse Education Committee Chair Selena Rothwell, Peter Olsen, Suffolk County National Bank VP Micah Schlendorf, Educators Elizabeth Grafer and Sam McAleese, and Education Committee Members Irene Tully, Barbara Imperiale, Mary Jane Hantz Greenfield, Liz Paris, Jennifer Cross and Olivia Brooks.

Just some of the awarded students were Best in Show Geige Silver, First Place Art with Monologue winner Grace Myer, First Place Drawing winner Jason Song, First Place Digital Generated Photo winner Jennah Hochstedler, First Place Painting winner Jessica Gullapa, and First Place Costume Designer winner Marisa DeAngelis.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
