The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce is changing things up this year with a new “LOVE Sag Harbor” campaign – launched just in time for Valentine’s Day. The primary goal of this campaign is to build business and community in Sag Harbor. There will be limited-edition merchandise available via the Chamber member businesses, as well as a full year of community LOVE through art installations, video contents, and more.
“The LOVE Sag Harbor campaign is a tribute to the strength of our community, the resilience of our small businesses, and gratitude for the support of so many people who truly love our village,” said new Sag Harbor Chamber President, Gavin Menu. “In the coming months, we will announce the many ways that Sag Harbor fans near and far can get involved and share the love. For the moment, we are thrilled to unveil the campaign logo.”
The limited-edition t-shirt was created by Chamber member and local business owner Craig O’Brien of Sunswell Clothing. The tee features LOVE SAG HARBOR and the iconic Sag Harbor windmill in a traditional woodcut style. The windmill was erected by the citizens of Sag Harbor and serves as the Chamber’s headquarters and official welcome center. The design is very fitting for the community.
Apart from the LOVE Sag Harbor campaign, the Chamber is introducing a digital strategy for 2021 to consistently communicate, feature, and promote member initiatives during holidays, key commercial dates, and throughout the year. With the goal of being more transparent, the Chamber will introduce Chamber Chats, a monthly Zoom series that invites local business owners to connect on important issues and give the new business owners in town the opportunity to join the conversation. Chamber Chats will begin in March with a membership celebration, more on LOVE Sag Harbor, and how the Chamber plans to help build business in 2021.
“As we continue to place the health and safety of our community front and center, we’ve had to cancel most Chamber events, including our popular HarborFrost winter festival,” added Menu. “But while our events calendar continues to be in wait-and-see mode, we still have a mission to drive business for our members, connect our community, and keep the small-town spirit of Sag Harbor alive. That’s what our 2021 plan is all about.”
