The Montauk Fall Festival is always one of the most highly anticipated Hamptons autumn happenings. As with many other beloved gatherings, the 2020 iteration will be held virtually.
The 39th Fall Festival will take place from Monday, October 5 through Monday, October 12. During the week-long digital event, the public can help their favorite eatery win top honors of the Chowder Contest by casting their vote online, take a chance on the Cash Catch or wide array of Chinese auction and online auction items and more.
“All non-profits such as the chamber were hit particularly hard this year. Montauk Fall Festival is our largest fundraiser that attracts hundreds of people,” noted Kay Tyler, Executive Director of the Montauk Chamber. “Anticipating that COVID 19 protocols would last through the year, we planned a virtual ‘Festival,’ with key components that we hope will recoup some funds and be rewarding for the public.”
There is a $10 fee to enter a vote for Montauk Chowder Contest, which not only includes a 2020 Montauk chowder mug, but it also includes a coupon for a free cup of chowder that is redeemable at a participating restaurant upon spending $10 or more. It also enters the individual in a raffle to win a $200 gift card to one of the participating restaurants. Voting for the 2020 Annual Montauk Chowder Contest will close on Sunday, November 15.
The online silent auction will boast a selection of amazing items, such as Montauk Getaway packages, celebrity memorabilia, Duryea’s VIP Dinner, and much more, while the Chinese auction will include a Hampton Coffee Company gift basket, Joni’s gift certificate, Montauk Sands basket of cheer, Southampton Soap Company Lavender Package, getaway at Marram Montauk, Sundae Donuts gift certificate, YETI cooler filled with Whalebone Magazine swag, Catamaran Mon Tiki charter, Deborah Thompson Day Spa gift certificate, half day of fishing on Lazy Bones and much more.
Proceeds from the Fall Festival will support the Montauk Chamber, who organizes the annual event, to champion the local community and economy, and aid a variety of charitable groups.
